The official Green Gym Day is just around the corner–the second Sunday of June. It’s easy enough to come up with ideas about what to do for any one day, whether you’re an adult or a child. Join us on June 9th, Green Gym Day, the first worldwide day of play for everyone. Green Gym Day is the day you’ve been waiting for–an excuse to get outdoors and play. Once you experience how good it feels to be active outdoors, you might make everyday Green Gym Day. My partners and I are using social media to promote the day and get more people outdoors, for the sheer pleasure of it. We’re inviting everyone to share their activities on the day with everyone else who takes part, via photos and video clips, which will be used to create a video montage of the day.

The good news is that bringing employees outdoors and utilizing a corporate campus or other nearby outdoor space can get morre employees exercising –while also reducing stress beyond what exercise alone can do. Whether it’s a simple walk outdoors or a customized outdoor workout tailored to the site, it just makes sense to take advantage of this synergy.

You could say that all of South Beach is an outdoor gym. But there are a couple of places that make it even easier and more fun to Nancercize. Read about bars and Barstarzz, amoeba-shaped benches, an “adult playground,” and turtle-safe lights.

What’s a Nancercize class like? A month or two ago, two charming young ladies from the Columbia University School of Journalism came knocking on our “door.” The video that grew out of that search is now viewable on the Uptowner website.
