Build your balance and strength to help prevent falls.


It was a tough winter but we made it – spring is here! Time to get out of the house and into your local park. Starting today, New York City seniors can register for free fitness programs in all five boroughs!

Even in moderate amounts, exercise can help us feel better, maintain or lose weight, reduce risk of heart disease and diabetes, and minimize the symptoms of arthritis. No matter how old we are, our bodies always benefit from physical activity. There is something for everyone from Yoga to Tennis and even Fitness Walking. 


  • All activities are free and include free use of equipment.
  • Activities take place twice a week for one hour unless otherwise stated.
  • Participants are encouraged to register for multiple activities, if available, and to maintain regular attendance.
  • Class sizes for yoga are limited and open on a first-come basis.
  • Registration is available online or on-site the first day of programming.
  • Programs begin the week of April 27, 2015
